OACNUDH Observes the human rights situation in the country with the aim of advising the Guatemalan authorities on the formulation and implementation of policies, programs, and measures that promote and protect the fundamental rights of the population.
Workshop: In 2019, in collaboration with the “Niñas Furia” collective, we held a workshop on human rights, exploring how art can be used as a tool to express concerns. We also discussed how visual communication can be a way to share the meaning of these rights with younger generations.
Workshop 2: In 2023 (the year of elections in Guatemala), in collaboration with "Visibles," an organization dedicated to defending the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, we held a workshop to encourage voting among young adults. Using modeling clay and artistic expression, we discussed the main concerns of this new generation and the demands they had for the upcoming leaders.
